SUMMER CLASSES

• Pre-Academy Program: For students ages 2-7. All of these classes are a combination of dance disciplines specifically designed for early childhood education. Classes include Creative Dance, Combo I, II, III, Music & Movement, Mini Hip Hop, Tumbling/Jazz, and Song & Dance. See Class Schedule.

• Academy Program: For students ages 6-18. This program offers hour long classes in various dance disciplines, designed for an ala cart scheduling of a student’s individual dance training needs. Classes include beginning through level V in ballet, tap, jazz, musical theatre, hip hop, lyrical, and tumbling.

• Elite Academy (Competitive or newly added Classical Training): For students ages 5-16 who are looking for an accelerated training program in competitive (commercial) styles or the classical program designed for focus on ballet and contemporary techniques and performance. This program designates your required classes and dance disciplines with a higher level of curriculum to prepare for a more competitively trained dancer. Students interested must audition at the Dance Intensives during the summer for consideration, or book a private evaluation lesson.

• Pre-Professional Dance Companies: For students ages 14-adult with advanced training. Combined with the non-profit group, Dance Discovery Foundation, students can audition to be selected into Compass Dance, a modern dance company under the direction of Amanda White ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Company members perform throughout Southern California and are supported by fundraising efforts.

• Dance Team Program: For students ages 6-18. This program teaches team choreography for 4 regional competitions in Southern California and one national competition. Teams include tumbling, hip hop, musical theatre, modern, jazz, tap, character, pionte, and lyrical. Team members are selected at the Dance Team Clinics during the summer. More Information.

• Camps/Workshops: We offer monthly workshops and Master classes, a Musical Theatre Workshop in the spring, and several weekly summer camps from late June through the end of August. Camps and workshops are for students ages 5 and up.

• Private lessons: Private instruction is a the fastest way to learn and/or improve skills. Private lessons can prepare you for an audition, a solo, or a wedding, and even to rehabilitate an injury. Our instructors offer 30 or 60 minute lessons in all styles of dance.

• Birthday Parties: We offer 2-3 hour birthday parties for all age groups. We have several packages to chose from or can customize your child's dream party. • Studio Rental: We have 7 studios, 2 music rooms, and a studio theatre that seats 160. Studios are available to rent on a one time or recurring basis. • Teacher Training and Work Scholarship Program: Advanced students (14+) can apply for the two-year Teacher Training program or one-year Work Scholarship. Students are assigned to a specific class / office shift and attend 4 annual training seminars.
